Our Director’s Professional Leadership in Behavioral Health

Dr. Arnold runs for APA Division 42 President

Dr. Arnold was nominated as one of two candidate for the President-elect of APA’s Division 42, the division of Psychologists in Independent Practice. His position statement on Psychology’s role in Behavioral Health can be found at his FaceBook page along with other helpful materials identified by Dr. Arnold as helpful to independent practitioners in his role as the head of the management services organization functions of CCBT. 

Dr. Arnold to Present at 2017 APA Convention

Dr. Arnold will be presenting for APA Division 42 at the APA Convention in Washington DC.  His presentation will focus on the business operations needed by independent practicing psychologists who wish to succeed.  

Dr. Arnold begins 4th Year as a Commissioner for the APA Commission for the Recognition of Specialties and Proficiencies in Professional Psychology

Dr. Arnold began his second term on CRSPPP in the APA Education Directorate.  This year CRSPPP reviewed a large number of specialty and proficiency petitions.  If you are thinking about specializing in one of the recognized specialties in professional psychology, visiting this webpage is a must.

Presentations at the APA Practice Leadership Conference 2017

Dr. Arnold had the honor to present on two topics in Washington on 3/5/167 and 3/6/17.  He spoke on Integrated Behavioral Health, and on Management Services Organizations.  His slides can be seen Slideshare  Integrated Behavioral Healthcare and MSO (CCBT’s APEB) These slides are particularly useful for independent practicing psychologist like those who are belong to APA Division 42.

Honors for Leadership

Dr. Arnold was a 2016 inductee to the Gaion High Cchool Alumni Hall of Fame. He was inducted with several other alumni.  It was a proud day for our Director and President. 

Heiser

Dr. Arnold wins a significant leadership award, th Presidential Citation for Advocacy, the Heiser Award, from the American Psychological Association. He received the Heiser at the Division 31 (http://www.apadivisions.org/division-31/) reception in Denver, CO, in August 2016.

Dr. Arnold receives an  Outstanding Service award from the American Board of Behavioral and Cognitive Psychology for his work to that Board.  Dr. Michael Tansy, President of the American Board of Professional Psychology’s Board of Trustees (ABPP), awards Dr. Arnold the certificate.
